What is respect??
what is honour??
what is dignity??
maybe all of you can describe the meaning of these words but do you ever apply it in your daily activities and basically in your everyday life??
maybe a handfull of us does apply it in our life but not to these younger generations these days.
they say they honour you, they respect you but in return they kick dirt on your faces..
is that how honour and respect is shown??
well.. the reason why i chose this topic is because i realized that all these values are absent in the younger generation or better known as leaders of tomorrow inn the world today.
maybe they don't have dignity... maybe they don't know what honour is all about and same goes for respect.
for all who dont really care about these values, you should learn from this. i know i'm just an average person like all of you but the one thing that still keeps me standing and alive is these values. no matter how tough you are, how great you are there are always and i mean ALWAYS someone better than you. You will never be on top of the hill in a chain and even if you are already on top, there's always someone trying to pull you down.
based on my experience, i learnt that in order to gain experience we need to venture out and learn about the world but instead of being trapped in a box. in that process,we are surely to go to new places and meet new people. the most important thing or should i say asset when you venture out is not your money,is not your looks or your skills but it all comes down to respect.
Someone i look up to once said 'in order to gain respect, you have to give respect'.
this applies to all when getting respect from others.
ok.. let me be straight with you guys.. when people respect you,you wont have problems such as envy or jealousy towards you. not only that you will also have people looking up to you and see you as a leader and some might even sacrifice their lives for you.
influence is gather through respect and honour.
well obviously, respect and honour is almost similar.
dignity... hmmm... in my experience in this upcoming country that is easily influenced by others, i see that most of our teenagers have very low level of dignity for themselves.
why i say this??
as i can see today, for the feminine side for instance...
they dont mind being carried around by boys from clubs.. hanging out late at night, partying wild and getting drunk and so on. the worst scenario is they don't mind getting laid as if it is a normal thing when it is always said that a girl's dignity depends on what type of girl they are. dont get me wrong but this is really happening in this generation but,i would like to stress that not all girls are having this attitude.
dignity.. it is made up of characteristics of oneself, their psycological thoughts and way of being.
when you have dignity, then only you will gain respect from others because people do not one to respect and look up to someone that has no dignity and subsequently no moral values too.
finally,i would like to highlight that in life,we have to have these moral values in order to live a life of pride, confident and succesfull one and better said, to be a leader of a community or organization. hopefully my advise is practiced and in turn creates a new dimension of life for all you people out there.
